Nightfall Pegasus periodically protects the 3 allied heroes with the lowest health percentage, reducing the damage and health loss they take by 40% for 10 seconds. The damage and health loss reduced in this way are absorbed by Nightfall Pegasus as Negative Energy. When Nightfall Pegasus actively attacks, its Attack Rating is increased based on the amount of Negative Energy recorded. This increase is capped at 300% of Nightfall Pegasus' Attack Rating.
